A rare Greek rosemary essential oil, organically cultivated and steam-distilled, chosen for its gentle, balanced chemotype. Rich in verbenone, this rosemary offers clarity without harshness supporting focus, breath, and vitality through inhalation and aromatic use.

The Story

Rosemary has been revered across the Mediterranean for thousands of years — a plant of remembrance, protection, and mental sharpness. Ancient Greek physicians such as Dioscorides and Hippocrates valued rosemary for its effects on digestion, the liver, and the mind, while students crowned themselves with rosemary before study to enhance memory.

Not all rosemary oils are the same.

Rosemary expresses itself through different chemotypes depending on soil, climate, and cultivation. We deliberately chose rosemary ct. verbenone — a softer, more balanced expression — rather than the sharper cineole or camphor types.

This choice reflects our philosophy: support the body without overstimulation. Verbenone-rich rosemary offers clarity and renewal while remaining respectful to the nervous system, making it ideal for modern life where stress, mental fatigue, and sensory overload are already present.

This oil is not about intensity.

It is about precision, balance, and breath.

Why We Chose ct. Verbenone

Rosemary essential oils vary greatly:

  • ct. Camphor → very stimulating, sharp, more aggressive

  • ct. Cineole → strong respiratory action, but can feel overpowering

  • ct. Verbenone → balanced, gentle, supportive, and versatile

We chose verbenone because it offers the benefits rosemary is loved for — clarity, breath, vitality — without excessive camphor intensity or nervous system strain. It aligns with our approach to wellness: subtle, intelligent, and sustainable over time.

The Ritual

For scalp / hair massage blend – blend a couple of drops of Rosemary with some Organic lavender essential oil in a fixed (carrier) oil

For respiratory infections: inhale on its own or blended depending on the condition, we like it blended with some Lavandin and Lemon essential oils.

To assist with studying, focusing, memorising – vapourise a drop perhaps with some Lemon essential oil or apply a drop to a tissue and inhale

For muscular aches and pains – dilute in a fixed oil (carrier oil) and massage affected areas. Try adding a drop of our Lavandin and Thyme essential oils.
